Techniques in Projective and Polar Spaces
The Institute for Geometry and its Applications, the University of Adelaide, is hosting a Finite Geometry Workshop on Techniques in Projective and Polar Spaces during the week 12-16 January 1998. The purpose of this workshop is to identify and further investigate techniques that have recently proved fruitful in obtaining results in finite projective and polar spaces. We will discuss open problems in the context of these and other techniques.
The workshop will be held in Room 102 of the Mathematics Building of the University of Adelaide.
Invited Speakers are Professor Aart Blokhuis (Technical University of Eindhoven/Free University of Amsterdam); Professor Frank De Clerck (University of Ghent); and Professor Guglielmo Lunardon (University of Naples).
There may be some financial support available to interstate and overseas participants. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for support.
There will be a workshop dinner held on Thursday 15 January 1998. More details will available at the workshop.
